emerge somefuckingsanity
Anyone here familiar with gentoo? I'm having some problems getting usb hotplugging and udev functioning properly. I've got a belkin usb bluetooth adapter I need to make function. I've emerge'd hotplug and installed udev (and the mess with it). I've installed all the bluez packages, enabled all the bluetooth support needed in the kernel. Yet when I plug the fucker in, I get some kernel drivel about how it found a usb device. AND THAT'S FUCKING IT. No errors, no "I tried to install a driver for this shit but cant", just "found a new usb device". I mean honestly, who throws a shoe?
On the upside, building a functional linux kernel doesn't require arcane ninja magic any longer. The kernel s seem to build rather easily these days (and it's output is clean too!). KDevelop is pretty badass from the cursory evaluation I've given it. The interface is clean and polished.
And on one last note just to incite:
"Only the dead have seen the end of war."
ps - I'd attribute it to the person (Plato) but there are questions as to where it came from so fuck it he's dead anyway ;].
